Driving home today, pulled in to the cul-de-sac and the local public utility employee is dutifully cleaning the fire hydrants. A cascade of water 2-3 inches deep is pooling and running down the street. I don't really get the idea until I am halfway down the street to pull into the deep water and go for it. I'm sure the guy thought that was weird enough but after I went back around and did it 2 more times I'm sure he was ready to call the police. 2-3" of water and 40 miles per hour make for a pretty clean undercarriage. Strange thing is, I couldn't even get the Yokohamas to hydroplane. These tires are great. Well, at least I got something for my tax dollars finally.
