Ok ive cleaned out my egr valve and the stupid "check engine light" went off finally. So my question now is what/where are the IAC valve and the pvc valve?
Thanks!

IAC = Idle Air Control Valve. It's located on the throttle body and controls the idle air (and thus idle rpm) to the engine.
PCV (not PVC) = Positive Crankcase Ventilation. It's a valve that rattles when shook (supposed to anyway) that controls the crankcase pressure and evacuates crankcase gasses to the engine intake tract. They can be located in a variety of locations such as the valve cover. They will have a fairly large vacuum line attached to them that is sourced to manifold (not ported) vacuum.
