So by now most of you know that im anything but Republican. Imagine my suprise when I got an envelope in the mail today that looked official and had 'Republican Census Document' printed boldly on the front.

Now, lets skip over the deceptive appearance that this was an official census document.

Imagine the look on my face when I opened it and read:
"Dear Fellow Republican,
You are among a select group of Republicans who have been chosen to participate in the official CENSUS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY."
Now, I read the "Census" questions. Every one is worded deceptively to elicit the answers they want, not real answers. For example:
"Should Congress focus on cutting the federal deficit by reducing wasteful government spending"
DUH - Why havent they in the last 6 years that its been all republican? WHo the hell would answer NO?

How about this one...
"Do you agree that teaching our children to read and incresing literacy rates should be a national priority?"
Apparantly asking questions with obvious answers makes them feel better.

Now, it gets better.

I flip the 'Census' over... Remember how the letter started Dear Fellow Republican, you have been selected......... Well - now on the back it asks me to JOIN the RNC and contribute -- $25 - $500

And then - (talk about nerve) It also has a check box that says --
Yes, I support the RNC, but am unable to participate at this time. However, I have enclosed $11 to cover the cost of tabulating my survey"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

The whole thing is one big smoke n mirrors deception. It isnt a survey, its an attempt to get at least $11 out of me. What a pathetic joke.

You must lead a sheltered life if you've never received a solicitation like this before.
