A Couple Of Weeks Ago My Car Started Breaking Up And No Cel . A Few Days Later I Was Driving On The Highway And I Came On Flashing And The Car Was Running Horrible, So I Pulled Over And Shut The Car Off And Waited A Few Mins , Started It Up Again And Went On My Way And Cel Never Came On Again . But The Car Still Breaks Up Once In A While . A Week Later I Change The Plugs And Checked , Inspect The Coils And Everything Seemed Ok , No Codes In The Computer Neither. What Should I Do ? Change All Coils!!!

if you plan on owning the car for long, buy a scanner that will retreave the codes. the coil is always the problem and not the plug.if you had a scanner you could identify the cyl. good luck

About a month ago my engine was running a little rough when idling so I took it into the dealer to see what was wrong. Never had any trouble on the freeway though. They replaced a coil and it was still running rough and jumping around. It ended up to be the cylinder head, they replaced that and it runs even better now. I just got it back on Tuesday. It is a 2000 V8 with 44,000 miles on it and at the time I took it in(a month ago) it was only a month out of warranty. The dealer made it so I only had to pay $500, get an additional 30,000 mile warranty and Lincoln picked up the rest otherwise it could have been around $6,000-$8,0000. Not sure if this helps but that is what was wrong with my car when running rough. Good luck.
