More oil change talk.....

A lot of oil change talk recently has me determined to take better care of my car. (NO MORE JIFFY LUBE

)...
So I'm gonna start doing my own oil changes.
My question is:
Do i go with the recommened Motorcraft? I hear it's good oil...from you guys...

Or do i go Mobil 1 5-30 like so many of you recommend?
I dont know to much about this stuff but I've picked up that there might be some risks in going with Mobil 1....i think....

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just switched to mobil 1 in mine, and I bought it with about 60k on it, now it has 65k. I figured one normal oil change to possibly de crude it if there was any, then run synthetic. I think today's motors are built tight enough that with the addition of good oil they should last along time.

Mobil 1 dont mess around with that other junk, stick to the best. Mobil 10w-30 in all my cars.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic.....More money but I feel good knowing its good for my baby...

mobil 1 filters are just relabled cart filters, and cost like $5
but hell ya mobil 1 all the way I going to try that 0w-30 this summer but I use 5w-30 in my markVIII

I used Penzoil 10w40 in my 95 Mark VIII. When I got rid of it at 130k plus it still ran like a champ. I was wondering what oil to use in the LS. Smallest V* Ive ever owned and has the highest redline also. Never owned anything smaller than a 5.0 except the Windstar which I dont claim!

LOL!! Hank Hill quote! I remember the days when they reccommended 7500 miles and Im only 38! I luv my LS so much I might do it every 1500 miles!!
