Whelp today has been just dandy! Anyway, I'm one hour away from getting off work and I notice I had a voice mail on my cell. So I check it and its my g/f saying she went by my house at 8 something and saw cops and what not out front. So I immediately started calling home; no answer. Phone was actually doing that not in service thing so I than thought FIRE!. So I call my moms cell, pager and no answer back. I try my dad, no answer; I page mom, no answer so than I got back to trying to get ahold of dad.

Well no one answered so I told my co-worker I needed to leave. I get out to my car and start it up and let it warm up some and shoot out of the parking spot and than got ready to turn to go out the exit of the parking lot. I looked both ways and did not seeing anything and I took off and bam! A chevy silverado or something to that effect came out of nowhere and I t-boned him!

His truck of course is in alright shape, going to need some work but not like my LS is going to. Its going to need a new hood, fenders, bumper, passenger headlight and fog light and some other little things that go in that area. Its not totaled but its not looking good at all. I'm still pretty upset about it. It only happened 2 hours ago or so.

After that I managed to reach my dad who was at work. He said there was nothing wrong at the house that he knew of but was going to go home and check. I told him about the accident and he was pretty shocked and told me to have it towed to his body shop. So I told the cop what towing service and where to go. Finally got ahold of mom and she raced from work to meet me and we followed my LS back to the shop. I'm gonna get special treatment since my dad works at the shop and they like him, so I guess that is some good news.

I got a cavalier for a rental, its an '05 4 door . Feels alot different than my old '03 coupe.

As far as me adn the other guy, he is alright and so am I. I'm alittle sore in my lower back and neck but I've had back and neck problems so I don't know if its from the wreck or just normal.

I could of probably drove the LS to the shop lol, only thing wrong was I have no washer fluid. I did a system check and it said everything was all good. Thank god for that right, and thank god the air bags did not blow.

I have 3 pics of it on my phone but have no service here at the hospital. So I'll see if I can get them up later.

My poor baby

Man that sucks... im knocking on wood right now.. thats the second in a week..

so sorry to hear your loss.
I feel you. I also t-boned a jetta.
I hit it pretty hard but airbags did not go off.
I'll have to do some digging to post some pics.

since you know the body shop, you may able to get insurance to pay for both of your headlights but buy the ones from Ken with angel eyes.

glad to hear you are alright.

keep that neck straight and in comfortable state.
ever since my accident, my neck pops all the time.
I didnt go to hospital (I should have)

I was thinking the same thing!

Thanks guys, I still tear up thinking about what happened. Never think its gonna happen but bam, your proved wrong in a split second. As for the house, nothing happened here. What my g/f probably saw was a cop pulling over someone and overracted as normal.

Funny thing is, she can call me from school about that but has not gotten ahold of me now (eh).

If everything goes ok I should have the car back by the end of next week maybe.

Here's pic of my crash.
I ran a red light (fell asleep) hit the jetta on two places with my passenger side bumper and driver side bumper. Jetta spun 360, poped all four tires, and bent both axle, it was undrivable.
My LS, as you can see, had to get new bumper and bumper frame support, had to re-align the hood (it wouldnt open), paint passenger fender, new hood release latch, new headlights and foglights, new window washer tank (when I saw water dripping, I thought it was radiator)
cop gave me some string to tie up the bumper, and drove home.
my car damage was around $1200 at FLM dealership.
I think that's a great price but it did take them ~month to get done.
LSE bumper was on backorder. Hood doesnt align perfectly but I can live with it. I had to put rubber strip on top of both headlights to make the gap less noticeable. all in all, love the car.
I felt very protected in my car. I was also glad that my airbags didnt go off.
everyone! let's drive carefully.
avoid people like me!...

They told me it's simple adjustment and they will do it next time I go in.
I have forgot to tell last time I was there. DOPE!
It's tiny bit mis-aligned so it doesnt bother me that much.
I just need to remember to tell them next time Im in there for oil change.

It would be a good time to swap out the headlights for the 2003 HID lamps. You've already got the front bumper off! Just throw in the headlight bracket and your ready to roll.
