TIming Chain 1984 sedan deville Howto ???

I may need to change the timing chain on a 1984 sedan deville that was just given to me................a few questions now...
Is it a pain in the a$$ to change it ?
Can you link me to any online resources that will give me a step by step...

I believe the engine is the 4.1 v8 (250 cid)

My friend gave me the car......it was running fine for him and then while driving, the car just died out...................his father looked at it and said it was likely the timing chain, but possibly the distributor. (his father was a mechanic for several years, so I am at this point going off of his opinion)

I am adept at working on things mechanical so I feel I should be able to fix it.............with a little guidance..........
