Dual Tipped Muffler Installation

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

This thread is for Geno and the members here whose had the XpansionX mufflers installed. How does these mufflers tuck up in the Mark. Will the tips be tilted to the side as they extend out. I've seen Jamler's photos, and the tips look a little tilted. I want to tuck the mufflers up with the tips to be straight. Is there any way to make this happen?

The X2's are specific to the Gen 2's because they have enough room to support the width of the two tips.

We angle them as sort of a tribute to the awesome rear bumper outlets of the Gen II.

They are angled from the factory so why not angle the tips.

You can have your bumper cover cut to ovals for our XI mufflers with oval tips. We also have the tipless XI's that you can use turndowns on.

So, any idea how they wild look on the Gen 1? I really want to get away from the turn downs. I want to get a meaner effect.

Then you would need to cut your bumper then. If you run them low they will look stupid. They need a cutout.

Listen to Geno. The shop that put my Borlas in (after I spent an entire day polishing them) mounted them up in the bumper cover and angled my tips downward...totally gay! I can't wait to get em straight...no pun intended. I'm cutting the bumper.

Its all in the mounting of the muffler... On the XpansionX II's, the tips are already installed on the muffler with sweet stainless welds. They are straight out of the muffler, the angled look Geno did comes from the angle on the factory muffs. You can install em straight or angled... Whatever look you like.
