I reskinned my seats yesterday with the gen II, they are so much better than the old ones. I don't slip around any more plus there not torn. I replaced the back seat with one out of a 97 also.

Thanks Geno for the help, it took about six hours but it got done, and your right I did pull the Velcro off of the foam, but I just used contact cement to put it back on. I will get some pictures up once the inside of the car is clean

ahh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha................................................ . ha ha ha ha ha LOLOLOLO! oh that's a good one fit right up, yha sure they do............. sorry I'm just kidding.

not in one way shape or form you need to get the leather and foam from a 97 or 98 and tare all the seats down a put the gen II on the gen one frame. When I talked to Geno he said it took him 2 hours but he has done interior work before and I have not so it took me six on my living room floor but i also downed a 12 pack to. So if you have a workbench and the new seats its not that hard i cant really tell you how much it cost because I got other stuff with it too.

I thought It was a direct swap to till I got home and talked to Geno, you cant do rewiring to cause its all different, the gen II are totally redesigned. The only way is to reskin.

The floor mounts arent even the same?

Posted by: Joeychgo

I know a second gen can be made to go into a first gen, I dont kow the process though.

Posted by: Markviiiedrea

Floor mounts are but you will not have power to move them so it SOL's that idea, trust me I wanted to just rewire but this is the only way, sorry. Its not as hard as it sounds it easy just takes a while cuz you want to take your time. I would say the hard part is finding the seats, I think ERIC1 still has some tan ones at his place he will sell.

But good news as far as the back seat no modification required they bolt right in takes 2 min to do the back seat swap.

I have had the seats for half a week and one of my friends fell asleep in it, that's when you know you did a good job. Then you just break check the car. That's fun!
