The rings are pretty much just glued to the foglight. I used a silicone. I think I would get more life out of them since they are outside and not taking in the heat from the foglights. It's really nice here in seattle these days. it will stay this way until sept. then all hell break loose and starts raining until next feb. we didnt get too much rain this winter so there's already a talk of a water shortage. |

I have plenty of friends who got pulled over and got ticket for not having it in the front. so I did the next best thing which is to move it down instead of it's usally spot, right in the middle of the bumper. I guess I could have it on my dash (which is what most people do here) but I dont want to clutter the dash with a plate. |

Far as I can tell, KKM air cone seem to show difference on freeway. biggest difference is sound. I notice nice humming of air rushing in during WOT. I believe K/N is replacement filter, dont know if they have cone. My exhaust is stock, so it's weak. |

The thing is that a metal "cold" air box acts as a heat sink, transferring the engine bay heat through the material and into the air box. You'd have to wrap the box with something that would deflect the heat.
You never get any sort of ram effect unless you're going 160 mph. If you're looking to just cool the intake charge, look to relocate the filter somewhere out of the bay. Heat's always going to be a problem, and you'll never completely defeat it. |
