Pic size limit too small

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

So.....as it seems I'll have difficulty posting ANY photos on here since the size is limited to 97.7 KB and the smallest my camera will go is 640 X 480 (150ish KB). Is there any way to make my pics any smaller to allow for a pic post or two?

I think that only applies to the jpeg format. I've uploaded larger files in a gif format.

I don't know how to sswitch anything or whatever. I just browse it and try to upload and it doesnt work. It says its to big. Why limit it. It just makes problems! Im taking my pics with a brand new digi cam. So, thats may be the reason coz they are to detailed or whatever. . .

Actually - there are alot of reasons to limit the size of pics -- the main one being for our dial up users who would have nothing but troubles if it wasnt limited, the large pic files would make it almost unusable for them.

On the web or email-you should always try to use JPG. They work the best on the web and in emails.

Go here: and download the "image resizer" - then install it.

Its very easy to use. All you do is right click on the image you want to resize and choose -Resize Image- then chose the size you want and its done. VERY easy.

The other option is to get a standard image program - that will let you do great things to your pics - try it !

I have a 5 megapixel camera and believe me, you would ALL complain if I uploaded my pics as they come out of the camera.

If anyone needs help please dont hesitate to contact me or onebadmk8 as we both can help with such things......
