newbie needing advice on ls

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

looking at 2000 LS with 285k km (about 168k miles) for 9k Cdn (about 7k us)
also other 2000-2001 but they are 12-15k cdn and I have had good luck with higher mileage vehicles before (this is highway mileage apparently)

anyway, anything I should look for in an LS?
in a 2000 LS?
in this particular high mileage LS

have owned a cad eldo cv and a 90 and 86 mark 7 (both for sale, 2k cdn each )
thanks
gord

please email direct to parallax@vianet.on.ca as i may not be on the forum often enough

private or dealer? that milage scares me. P.S. welcome too the forum

Milage scares me too, even though it's not an old car yet.

At 285K there isn't much life left in the car, you're MUCH better off buying one in the 100-150k range for not quite double the price.

2000 LS V8 Sports are worth about $17k right now (depends on milage). Because parts are very expensive and rare (junkyard) for the LS - you're far better off to buy something that will last alot longer.

Things to look for - none that will jump out at you, just make sure it's had any/all recalls done, and has been serviced at regular intervals.

Where abouts in Canada are you from Gord?

yeah they are as high as the milage and price considering the milage. Offer them 4500 USD.
