Greetings,

I am a new owner of a 95 Mark VIII in Ivory Pearl/Tan leather.

Beast has over 190k miles but it is in very good condition. It belonged to my father and I got a screaming good deal on it. I was looking into performance enhancements. Something like suspension (hate the air ride), HID headlights, possible supercharger, X-pipe, pulleys...that sort of things. You see my younger brother just turbo'd his 2004 VW R32 and it will run low 11's in the quarter. I want to show him that a car twice its size can run with him. What do you guys think?

Joe

Welcome!

Welcome aboard! You've got a great car. With some work you can get your car into the low 14's, maybe even 13's. Add a supercharger to that and you can make it into the 12's. I can't stress this enough, do your homework before you start modifying. There's lots of info you can look up if you take the time. Good luck!

I've seen them in the 12's easily with just nitrous, I think a 125 shot and a fuel pump.

No gears? Nitrous is a power adder that would be lumped in with superchargers and turbos.

WELCOME to the LVC. I don't know if this would quite the performance mod you are looking for in the suspension, but I do think it would fit your preference better than the air ride. We offer a lowered conversion kit that converts your Mark from air to non air. The lowering kit drops the car about 1.5 inches. We are offering a speacial this month for the Mark VIII 4 wheel kits for $350 delivered. If you have any questions about the kit, please let me know and I will be glad to help. In any case, welcome to the forum.

Thanks,
Strutmasters Team

Can you get it even lower? Or how about adjustable height?

Posted by: Strutmasters

We do not offer adjustable's. That's why I stated that it might not be EXACTLY what you were looking for. The lowest we can go and still have it covered under warranty is 1.5 inches, but we can take it lower. How low were you wanted to go? Although I don't carry them in stock as I said, I might still be able to order some adjustible's IF they are available. One of our customers sells performance suspension parts. I will check with them and see what they have available. Let me know the year model, and type of Mark VIII you have and I will try to match something up for you.

Thanks,
Strutmasters Team
