Anyone running a 3.90 gear?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

seems perfect for a DD
3.73 too little gear and 4.10s too much for the long highway cruises. I go to Michigan 3x a year 300 miles each way and 4.10s might be too much 3krpm for 300 miles one way. Motive makes a 3.90 gear for the 8.8 what do you guys think?

Meh... it's a meh kind of gear...

4.10's are NOT too much, 3.90 is 8% less, you will never notice or see an mpg diff. Trust me man I have installed hundreds of 4.10's over the years and I drive in a 4.10 Mark everyday now for 12 years I get 27.5 on the highway and average 19 around town. Ill say this for the millionth time DO NOT FEAR THE GEAR!!!!

Top end is also nearly unaffected.

The best I get on the Highway with 4.10 is 25 MPG and 17-18 MPG city.
