Lost to a Lexus GS 400

Lost to a guy I work with I had him to 40 or 45 then he passed me and pulled on me and after all that I did better than I though I would but still hate to lose

GS400's are fast... mid 14's bone stock with a 4.0 DOHC with vvti and 5 speed auto...

I currently own a 99 GS 400 and a 98 LSC and no doubt the GS is MUCH faster but its just not fun to drive or to look at for that matter.

Which brand torque converter do you have, and stock tune right? I was wondering why you took him off the line... Have you ever ran the car at the track it should definately be in the mid 14's with your mods...

my tc is a moded stock one from midwest converters my best time at the track was a 15.2 with out the gears on a 100+ degree day after a 4 hr drive with the cruse on the whole way
I do have a chip from LMS but I dont like it It has nothing protecting the wires so they will hit the metal bracket and create errors

lexus gs400 yea mid 14's stock from the factory - gears don't make these cars that that fast, i think joe gained a .3 - but it gives you wayy better driveabilitly around town - the highway suffers - this car was such a creeper at like 80 on the highway you do 4.10s and you lose the old man cruiser thing it has going on a bit

It is a sad fact but the Asian cars are better and faster.
Anybody has any thought on the new Dodge Challenger STR 8 with 425 HP
should give any Lincoln a run for their money.
Maybe this car will be faster than the Lexus?????? LOL
