So you just bought a new car huh now you have a new responsibility, before you bought your new baby home did you think about what will be required to maintain your new investment? I found a few thing the dealer will never tell you and you probably will not think about when you purchase your new or used automobile here are the top five issues.

5. How much will it cost to insure? If you are on a fixed budget the insurance cost can make or break you so do your homework first! Some cars are a bear to insure like the Cadillac Escalade due to the fact that even with the Onstar tracking device it is the most stolen SUV in the world.

4.What are the basic repair cost: for example the new AUDI's cost 1800 dollars to replace the timing belt( because you have to pull the whole engine out to do the repair) and some of the newer volkswagons you have to remove the bumper to replace the head light.

3.What type of gas do you need to run the car properly? Supreme gas can cost you an additional 10 dollars a tank.

2.registration fees and luxury tax fees: Some states add a luxury tax to autos over 40,000 (this only applies to new cars in most states) some registration fees can cast as much as 700 dollars a year.

1. the number one item you never ask about is how much will it cost me to replace the tires on my new car. The land rover tires run around 900 a set my new tires on my Deville cost me 800 dollars because they are H rated
the tires on a corvette will set you back 2500 dollars and there is only one company who makes those tires GoodYear! the reason they cost so much they are run flat tires :feed

Also have to ask the cost (and difficulty if doing it yourself) of normal maintenance items. Tune Up, Brakes, etc.

Dont forget the price you pay for driving around in a car that says you have cash and everyone puts their hand out. Women get more expensive when you have a nice car also.
