new member nashville via chicago, nobody gets my accent.
1994 Lincoln Mark VIII just retired from being a d/d. I love having disposable cash to work on my car. Mods completed: Cold air kit, Heavy Duty Trans with stage 2 shift kit, 4.10 gears, 2.5 inch dbl x true duals, B&M electronic shift controller. Mods to be completed this summer: headers, 3200-3500 stall, chip, powertrax no slip system, battery relocation. On wish list:rims/tires, body kit with side exhaust exit, supercharger, stage 2 cams, stage 2 heads.
in my opinion the first major mod would be open the exhaust then put the gears in.
let's get this thing going in nashville.

Ok all you Tennessee members! There will be a NOPI Southeastern Car Show in Knoxville, TN on August 11, 12 and 13. It will be held at the Chilhowee Park all three days. I plan to be there all three days and would love to have other LvC members commit to this event. This would be a great place to show off your proud Lincoln or Cadillac. The more the merrier! I am trying to work with event staff to have a special location for our members. Please make plans now to attend. Also, this is not just for Tennessee members but for all members. Below is a list of classes projected to be at the the show:

1) Street - Allows minor bolt on upgrades but no full body kits or radical wings
2) Custom - Allows any bolt on accessories and upgrades, any bolt on body mods and shaved bodywork
3) Wild - All Show - Chopped, suicide doors, tilt fronts, and anything goes.
4) JDM Style - "Japanese Domestic Market", Cars styled after Japanese versions - Engine Swapped Cars
5) Hybrid - Engine swapped Cars with other than OEM engines
6) Classic - Older models not in specific classes
7) NOPI CHIC - Optional Womans class

You can visit their show events area here for more info:

I am up for going to that show. I probably wont enter my car though... Unless ken wants to donate exhaust, body kit, CAI and those wheels with the engaved center caps! . Look on the bright side Ken If you donate you can write it off in your taxes next year!

LOL! Yeah, I'm not running a charity organization here!! However, just because you don't have all that on your car doesn't mean you can not enter. Look at this way it guarantees you a parking spot inside the event all three days.

Posted by: gt95coupe

I thought you would get a kick out of that!

Hey whats up I'm new here. I'm in morristown and I need to hook up with more cadillac/lincoln people. Almost everybody I know here drives a red ford truck. I'm from M.I. so I hate this.

Anyway I'm planning on taking a couple of my caddys to the car show, sounds like it could be a good one.

Posted by: Benzilla

Okay... I can see you all really care lol.

Anytime you want to set something up let me know. I'm in Knoxville so there are numerous places to meet here.

Hey guys, did anything come of this. Hope I'm not a day late and a dollar short!

Posted by: gt95coupe

No nothing happened. how about august 5th? (saturday)

Posted by: GrayGhost1

I don't have any plans on August 5th. There is normally a get together of all the local hot rods and such in Knoxville every Saturday. They meet at a big shopping center on Clinton Highway. We could do that if everyone want to show up.

That sounds good. As far as I know, that time slot's open for me....and while we're at it, maybe we could plan a ride for some other time while a bunch of us are together.

Posted by: gt95coupe

lets do it

Posted by: Boomhower

Ken, where is this shopping center @?

Posted by: gt95coupe

Ken can you give me some directions? Im not real familiar with west K-town. Also are wifes/girlfreinds coming to this or is it a dudes night?

Posted by: Boomhower

That was going to be my next question....you beat me to it.....Actually it's kinda in the center of east and west town. Not hard to find at all. On 40E you'll pass west town, take the 640E/75N exit off of 40E, and then Clinton Hwy is like the 3rd or 4th exit. If you go to the 75N exit, you've gone one to far. Now, Ken, where is this shopping center @ off of Clinton Hwy?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

The shopping center is where the old K-Mart use to be on Clinton Hwy. If you come down Merchants Road towards Clinton Hwy turn left on Clinton Hwy. Go to the next red light and turn left. You'll see an Advanced Auto there. Advanced Auto sponsors that car gathering every Saturday night.

Posted by: Boomhower

Ok. I think I know where you're talking about.

gt95coupe, Clinton Hwy is exit 3b off of 640. Saw it tonight.

So are we planning this thing? Aug. 5th?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

Let's set it up! It's a go!

Posted by: gt95coupe

We gonna eat some where? (if its not too far PF changs is good) when is the meet going to start? are chicks coming? We might want to send out a broadcast type PM or somthing for anyone that might want to attend.

Posted by: Boomhower

My wife said she would go, but doesn't want to be the only one there.

PF Changs is a little bit out of the way. Not real crazy about Chinese anyways, plus there is a lot of good places to eat on Merchant's Drive and on up Clinton Hwy. Both of which are just a hop, skip and a jump away.

It may be a little late to get many ppl to respond on such short notice, but it definitely wouldn't hurt anything to ask.

Thats cool Ill probably come up there early and go to PF changs. Its her favorite place and Chattanooga hasnt got heres finished yet. So your wife will not be the only one and anyone that wants to meet me pm me.

Posted by: Boomhower

What time are we going to plan on meeting?

Ken, what time does the car show kick off?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

People start arriving there around 7:00 pm and stay until dark. I was thinking around that time. I'll ask the boss if she wants to go to PF Changs and we can all meet there and then jet blast to Clinton Hwy.

Do you still have my number? If you dont PM me

Posted by: Boomhower

Well crap!!! I hate to be the dull fogy of the bunch. My wife wants to eat there all the time, but I always steer the other direction. Neither of us have ever been, she loves Chinese, and the only Chinese food I've ate is the cat and dog buffet kind. I'm sure this place is a major step up from that.

We might have some family conflicts, so if we can get that worked out, we'll plan on meeting you guys at PF Changs. If not, then I'll stop by over at the car show. What time we're you all thinking about meeting to eat, just so I can plan a little easier.

You will enjoy it! Its a great place NOT a buffet I will probably come up a little early so it doesnt matter when you guys want to hit the changs

Posted by: Boomhower

That stinks Bill.

I know it's short notice, but does anyone else feel up to par for a joy ride? The more, the merrier. Hopefully we can do this again sometime soon, only with a little more response time for everyone.

I do know of couple of dates that are just around the corner. Aug. 11, 12, and 13th. Right Ken!!! ......Refer to post #15 of this thread.

Posted by: gt95coupe

Im calling Pf changs tom. how many seats do we need I assume 6 but... what do you guys think?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

Posted by: Boomhower

That's fine by me.....Just let us know what you come up with

Posted by: GrayGhost1

We finally got together tonight for our first annual Tennessee meet. Eventhough we only had three members there we still had a great time. We first met at PF Chang's on Kingston Pike for a great dinner and then headed to the Advance Auto Saturday Night Car Gathering on Clinton Hwy. It was a muggy night so we didn't stay very long but we saw some great looking cars and our LS's were part of it. We hope to have these more often and want more participation. If you are interested in the next meet let us know here or PM me. Below are two pics of our cars. Members meeting were gt95coupe (Danny Norton), Boomhower (Brandon Barnard) and GrayGhost1 (yours truly!).

Posted by: postalUT

Hey guys. I saw there are a few of us LS folks here in Knoxville. Me and my roomate were gona try and run Tail of the Dragon sometime around October 14-15 (TENTATIVELY). If you don't know what it is its an old highway running from Tennessee to North Carolina and it's less than an hour south of Knoxville. It's an 11 mile two-lane road with over 300 turns. The website can be found here. My roomate will be running an '03 BMW 325 and I'll be in my '02 LSE. If y'all are interested, we could set up a small outing. We could meet up somewhere in town and caravan out to TOD and do a few runs up and down the highway, and maybe grab something to eat along the way. It'd be a great photo opportunity (imagine a photo of 4-5 LS's running TOD in a row). Of course it wouldn't be restricted to LS owners. Anyway if anyone in Knoxville is interested let me know and we'll see what we can come up with.

BTW does anyone know of any other LSE's in Knoxville. I found another LSE on a UT Campus Garage (exact twin of mine, except with duct tape (wtf?) on the lower grill) and I havent seen them on here. They should definitely get involved.

Posted by: gt95coupe

It sounds good to me Im not sure about the date yet. I could meet you kville guys at the exit for the TOD then we could eat afterwards or whatever.

Posted by: Boomhower

I got to thinking today that we should meet up one more time before the weather stays nasty for the winter. Any bites?

Anytime!

Posted by: postalUT

If I can fit it around my work and class schedule I'm always down!

Posted by: postalUT

No weekend or night classes, but I do work a weekend job. If we can do it on a Saturday around lunchtime, I can still make it to work by 5. If that's not convenient, I can do dinner time any day during the week except Wednesday and Friday.

I'm sure it would be on a weekend. Do you have any weekend or night classes?

Posted by: gt95coupe

It sounds good to me maybe in a couple weeks? I cant this weekend. lets do it

Posted by: Boomhower

I can't this weekend either. I'd say let's plan it for a few weeks out that way maybe it will give some others time to see this thread a plan on coming.

Posted by: postalUT

I agree, but I'm going to be in Memphis during the Thanksgiving holiday. Perhaps the weekend before?

I'll be in Michigan as well on Thanksgiving weekend, and not available either Sat. before Thanksgiving. What about you other guys?

Posted by: gt95coupe

How bout we shoot for the first weekend in Dec.??

Posted by: postalUT

I think that will work for me, exams are two weeks after that so I wont be able to during the second weekend in december.

Now all we need is a time and a place

Posted by: bill5

Would love to do it, but I'll be in at the last minute, if I can swing it.

I've contacted a few via PM, but only a few. The last time Wicked LS sent out a regional PM for me. I asked him how he did it and he said it was something that had to be set up by admin.

Posted by: 9enisP

Hey, thanks for the PM Boomhower. I'd love to start meeting up with you guys. I won't be able to make it to any soon though. I'm deployed right now and will be back in January. I'm stationed in Missouri right now, but my family is in Lebanon (about 30 miles east of Nashville). I'm trying to join the guard unit in Knoxville and live in Nashville hopefully as soon as I get back from this deployment. I'll try and keep an eye out for the meet ups you have, but feel free to pm anytime just incase.

Well we certainly hope all is well with you. My brother-in-law joined the Marines close to a year and a half ago. He's been in Iraq for about 4 months now. Definetly keep a check on us here, and drop us a line once your back home for a while. We could try to set something up with you then. Good luck my friend!

So does everyone want to try for the first weekend in Dec?

Posted by: postalUT

Roger That!

Posted by: 9enisP

Wish I could be there! I hope you guys can get together sometime in February. Later.

Posted by: Boomhower

How many ppl are we gonna have.....When, Sat. Dec. 2nd?.....What does everyone want to do?.......and where does everyone want to do that?

Posted by: gt95coupe

I should be there. I told a buddy of mine and hes interested in going to T.O.D. and eating or whatever. I think it should kind of early since the days are getting shorter. Its getting dark by like 6 just FYI

Yep...I've wanted to take my bike up there and ride, but I've heard that you will litertally get ran out of the road with all the crotch rockets up there trying to prove who can wreck first. Now that we are in the cold season, we should get a pretty good ride in. There's two website that are based in that area where you can purchase pictures from them. They stand in certain turns of the dragon and snap pics of every vehicle that passes. Then they post them on there site. A couple of buddies of mine rode there bikes up there, then went on there site and did a print screen of the web page and cropped it out in paint. Not the best of pixel quality, but a free pic is a free pic. As far as I know, both groups are up there every weekend. Here's the sites.

Posted by: postalUT

It is heavily centered around the biker community, but I actually emailed some people at www.tailofthedragon.com and they said that they have just as many cars running as bikes nowadays. I think we should be fine if we take our time and not get too gnarly right off the bat. Also watch out for the occasional turcker. I think we should do it. Especially since most of the other regional groups don't really have anything like we do. We should really take advantage of it. I'll have to find some time to get the car cleaned since it looks like a mess, but other than that I am down.

Where should we meet? I was thinking we could head out to a restaurant over in the West Hills/Gallaher View area (perhaps at Puleo's girl?) and take some shots theres with all the LS's. I'm not really sure on how to get around too much in Knoxville since I'm only here for school, but if anyone has any other ideas, please share.

Posted by: 9enisP

Thanks gt95coupe. T.o.D. sounds fun. Make sure you post some pics of this meet. Have fun and be careful.

Posted by: Boomhower

So is everyone's schedule still looking good? We need to start finalizing this thing a little. I've had something come up in the schedule, but I'm working hard to get around it.

Oh, and Postal, I don't think eating Puleo's girl is such a good idea. J/K. Anywhere is fine by me. Just need to try and plan a place that's kinda on the way. I've never been and haven't had a chance to map it out yet. Maybe someone else know's which way we'll be head'n.

Posted by: postalUT

Here's a map from www.tailofthedragon.com:

129 is a little before Turkey Creek on I-40 in Knoxville. The West Hills/Gallaher View is on the way (except if you're coming from West Knox) which is why I suggested it. But like I said I'm open to any suggestions. Ive already requested off work on Dec. 2 so I'm good to go!

Posted by: gt95coupe

I guess thats cool we can meet @ The West Hills/Gallaher View exit. If we eat in knox but if not I may meet you guys somewhere on 411 and 129. I thought exit 60 would be a little better but looking @ that map the route looks longer than I thought. Keep in mind that Its getting dark just after about 5:30. It will be hard to get any good pics after that

Posted by: Boomhower

I would care a bit to meet out on 411 or 129. I'm sure there's places to eat out there, but I don't know if there is anywhere to eat at the 411/129 split after Maryville. That looks to be the best place for us all to meet, since postal and I would be coming from Knoxville and you would be coming from Chattanooga.

I spoke with Ken last week and he's not going to be able to make it and I PM'd Bill5 to see if he thought he was going to come. He had said earlier that he might be able to, but wouldn't know until last min. I'm still working on Sat. but I'm all but positive I'm going to be able to make it.

Posted by: postalUT

Well someone pick a time and place

It's a shame ken won't be able to come out!

Posted by: GrayGhost1

I'd love to come but this time of year is busy for me. I'll be out of town on Saturday most of the day and won't be able to make it. However, take lots of pictures!

Posted by: Boomhower

Alright, I'm all in. Got everything worked out. I'll talk to some ppl here at work that live out that way and see what all there is to eat out there.

As for the time, I'd say meet @ 12. That should give us plenty of time to eat, ride the tail, get plenty of pics, and be done by dark. Is that early enough or should we do it earlier? I don't know how long it takes to ride that 11 miles of curves.

Posted by: gt95coupe

That is the time I was thinking. Do you guys want to eat in knox or the maryville/dragontail area

Posted by: Boomhower

About a mile away from the 411/129 split in maryville, there is a place to eat called the "Gondilar". Real good itillian food. There's also one in Clevland, and they just opened one up in Halls up in north Knoxville. I have ate at all three of them and have never been disappointed with there food. What do you guys think? Other than that there are a ton of places to eat in Knoxville and in Maryville just outside of Aloca on 129.

Posted by: gt95coupe

thats fine with me. IF we meet there Ill meet u guys there.

Posted by: Boomhower

That's the reason I mentioned the place, so you could come up 411. However if Italain food isn't good with every one, 5 to 10 min. back up the road in Maryvile is Chilli's, Cracker Barrel, McCalistar's, Hooters, an Italain pizza joint, Chick-fill-a, Ryan's, Zaxby's, and a few other places I jut can't remember all of them.

Posted by: gt95coupe

Whatever you guys want execpt hooters. not a fan

Yeah and the Hooter's in Alcoa/Maryville SUCKS! Trust me. I'm not a big Hooter's fan either but I lived in Alcoa for 5 years and their food sucks as do the women there.

Posted by: Boomhower

Well let's just say that the only reason you'd go to the Maryville hooter's is because of the hot wings. Unless you like looking at menu's, cause there sure isn't anything else there.

My vote's for the Gondolier. It is the easiest place for all of us to meet up not to mention a halfway point.

Posted by: Boomhower

Hope this turns out viewable

Posted by: Boomhower

Here's the address of Gondiler if you want to google it yourself for better directions. 2632 US Highway 411 S, Maryville, TN 37801

LOL I wish you could make it we'll have to meet up later
The Italian place is fine with us. Thank you Boomhower for all the foot work on the resturant and address

Posted by: postalUT

Sounds awesome to me! I was hoping to run TOD four times (once each way to get a feel for it, and then another two times to see what we can get out of the cars) I doubt four runs plus lunch could last more than 5 1/2 hours. So yeah, let's do Gondoliers at 12 noon on Saturday. What would you guys say is the travel time from the campus area to the restaurant so I can plan my time?

Posted by: Boomhower

According to google, if you start from the stadium, take Cumberland Ave. to 129 (Alocoa Hwy.), it should take you about 30 to 35 min. to get to the Gondolier.

Posted by: postalUT

I'll leave about 11:20 and wait outside the restaurant. You'll know it's me, because you'll see me by my car and feel jealous!

Posted by: Boomhower

Our meet from the Tail of the dragon. I don't think we tamed it, but I think we got our 8 seconds worth.

Hope one of your guys picture turned out a little better than mine did.....But what else can you expect from a 1.3 mega pixel camrea phone.

I had a blast guys. Thanks for meeting out and can't wait for another one.

Posted by: gt95coupe

I as well had a great time! We need to get more Lincolns up there though! Hows those brakes postalut I cant get my pics to upload they are on the hard drive but LVC says upload failed?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

Pictures look great. Too bad I couldn't join you guys but will the next time.

Posted by: postalUT

Brakes were fine on the way home. I'm taking it to the dealership on Monday but I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm sure it was the dirt around the calipers that got too hot and burned off but I didn't have a problem on the way back. I've got my pictures too but I haven't uploaded them to photobucket yet.

I had a blast and we shoudl definitely do it again!

Posted by: gt95coupe

Ken we are talking about maybe doing it again in feb. sometime. hows that month for you? I know its awhile out but maybe we can align all our schedules for one saturday

Posted by: 9enisP

That'd be awesome. I'd try my damnest to be there. Looking forward to some more pics.

Posted by: gt95coupe

When are you gonna be back in k-ville again? We were tring to guess in feb.

Well, that's a ways away but I'll definitely work around it this time.

Posted by: Boomhower

My brother's B-day is on the 24th of Feb. That's the forth weekend in Feb. I'm sure the family will want to do something that weekend with him, so I won't be able to do it then. I know Feb. is a little bit off still, but I'd rather start planning something a little at a time now, so to ensure that we can get more LS's together. I know that there is 6 of us in here in TN that are in decently close range of each other, and I'd love to see all 6 of us riding down the road together. I could see head's turn today when just 3 of us passed by. Imagine what it would be like with 6 (or more) of us.

Posted by: gt95coupe

Lets go for the 3rd or the 17th that is the first and third weekend

Posted by: gt95coupe

here are my pics

Posted by: postalUT

I'll have my pics up sometime tomorrow or Monday

Posted by: 9enisP

I should be getting back around the 15th of January and will be coming home for a while (3-4 weeks), so the first week of February sounds great. If you guys decide on the third week, I got no problem taking some leave to come back down. I guess you could say, I'm down for whatever you guys decide. The pics look good, its looks beautiful out there.

Posted by: Boomhower

I'd say let's plan on the first week then. No reason for you to take leave when you could use it for your family or something else some other time.

Posted by: 9enisP

Yeah, and I just realized that the 3rd weekend is Mardi Gras. So I'll be wasted in St. Louis that weekend. Is there a big celebration in K'ville?

I don't have anything planned that weekend yet so it's a go for me.

Posted by: Boomhower

Eric, are you good with the first week in Feb.?

Posted by: postalUT

Yeah that sounds good. I'm going to have my pictures up soon but I'm going to wait and get the pictures from killboy and post them all at once. It turns out I told you guys wrong and they actually have the photographers there on the side of the road. If the pictures turn out good I'm going to buy a print for my wall.

Posted by: gt95coupe

What did the dealer say about those smoking brakes?

Posted by: postalUT

They said that it was just the brakes getting hot and the dirt in and around the brake parts was heating up and burning causing smoke and smell. I'm taking it to the dealership on Alcoa to get a second to make sure.

Posted by: Boomhower

I've been looking for them to pop up, but still haven't seen them. I'll let you work on this one then. I hope they got some of us out there. If they have ppl standing there taking pictures, then surely they would have gotten us coming back thru if they didn't get them the first time. Unless the photographer was in the Killboy's Evo that we passed on the way back.

If you take it to Neill-Sandler talk to Jimmy Cox. He is the Service Manager there and I know him well. Tell him you are part of the online Lincoln club and he'll know what you are talking about. He will definitely take care of you. Tell him I sent you! You might get thrown out....just kiddin!

Posted by: Boomhower

They threw me out when i mentioned your name. Just kiddin.

LOL! I figured that!

Posted by: postalUT

Neil Sandler's the one on Alcoa right? I took it to Ted Russell the first time around and wasn't satisfied at all!

Posted by: GrayGhost1

Yes. Neill-Sandler is on the right before you enter the motor mile. See Jimmy Cox when you go there. You might want to call him before you go to make sure he is there.

Posted by: postalUT

Thanks! I'll do that!

Posted by: xRellx

Hey guys, this is my first post, but Ive become pretty familiar with the forum and its active members.. So first off, great site, great people, and lots of great info, so keep up the good work!
I'm currently in Murfreesboro, and will most likely be for the next few months. As soon as my lease is up here, I will be moving to Hermitage (outside Nashville). Anyways, I have a 95' Cougar at the moment, and am trying my hardest to find a 97/98 LSC in good condition.. If any of you guys have one on the market or know of someone who does, PLEASE let me know! Low mileage and some options is definately a plus..
Thanks everyone.

Posted by: postalUT

It turns out there were NO pictures taken by killboy during our meet (F**K!) so we'll have to get pictures when we meet in feb.

Posted by: Boomhower

But they were there. That blows. Must have been joy riding that day or something. Surely one of us will remember to bring a camera next time so we can get some good pics.

Posted by: postalUT

I was actually looking forward to getting some dramatic Car and Driver like pictures and getting them framed

Posted by: gt95coupe

that sucks

Posted by: postalUT

We can always get some good shots on our February run. SOMEONE BRING A CAMERA!!!!!!

I ran into that kid we saw in the Lexus when we went up there. Apparently he lives in the same apartments as me. He said he ran it again that day and saw a bike dip coming from the opposite direction. Guy was alright but really shook up. His riding jacket and pants really saved him from some nasty road rash. Some scratches on the fairing and a bent exhaust tube. WEAR A HELMET!!!

Posted by: 9enisP

I got a camera and will definitely bring it. It has a decent video recorder (640x480) on it too. I can see if a friend wants to come with me and maybe he'll stand on a corner and take a few pics/vids.

Posted by: 9enisP

Well Eric, for what its worth, I tried to clean up Danny's pics. They should be posted below but let me know if you don't see them. Danny, was one of your passenger side angel eyes off in the original front-view pic?

Posted by: postalUT

those look real good

Posted by: gt95coupe

the angel eyes dont like cold weather. If its cold sometimes the wont light but after you run the low beams for 5-10 minuted they will it up.

Posted by: xRellx

Hey guys.. I picked up a 99' TC Tuesday.. If anyone wants to hook up, let me know. Please inform me of any meetings, etc as well! Thanks.

Posted by: Boomhower

The next scheduled meeting is the one listed above. Feel free to chime in.

Posted by: xRellx

Where exactly will the meet be? And what day- still the first week of Feb. Im assuming. Also, I see most of you have LS's- you wouldnt mind a TC would you? Lastly, whats the age range (I could care less, but others sometimes dislike vast differences-- Im 20). Thanks.

It's not gonna bother me at all. We've been trying to find a few more ppl to meet out with us, and this is a Lincoln forum. It just worked out that the ones of us that have met out before had LS's.

I'm 25, Danny(gt95coupe) is 27, Eric(postalUT) I'm thinking he told me 20, (9enisP) I don't know, and Ken(grayghost1) is 39. But everybody's young at heart, right Ken. These are the ppl that I'm pretty sure will be making it out this time.

I think the plans as of now are to meet in Knoxville somewhere to eat on 2/10/07, then ride over to the tail of the dragon on Hwy 129 close to Maryville. Nothing has been finilized yet so keep checking back here for the rest of the details.

Posted by: gt95coupe

ROLL CALL!!!!! the meet is just a few weeks away whos gonna be there...

Posted by: 9enisP

I'm there!!! Are we doing this Feb 2nd or 3rd, and at what time and place?

Actually, I'm 38 but who's counting huh?

Posted by: xRellx

I should be there.. About to start a new job, so I need a 100% accurate date.

Posted by: gt95coupe

I think we had decided on feb 3rd its a saturday

Posted by: 9enisP

Sounds good to me. I'm not extremely familiar with K'ville so ya'll should decide where we meet.

Posted by: xRellx

Sounds good, count me in

The 3rd works best for me. That's the date I've been saving in the calender.

As plans are now, I'll be there, baring some unforeseeable occurrence.

As for eating, would you all think we'd be better off eating/meeting on the West end of Knoxville, somewhere around Turkey Creek(Lovell Rd exit for those unfamiliar). They have a lot to choose from now, and we'd be a hop, skip, and a jump away from Pellissippi Pkwy (140), which will run us back over to Maryville, and be on our way to the dragon. That is still the plans, right? I'm thinking of a time around 11 am for a little earlier lunch. That'd give us a little more daylight (for pictures and such). Last time we meet around 12, but didn't leave the restaurant until around 2 (?), didn't we Danny. big guy......Also does anybody have anything else in mind that they'd like to do while we're out. The last time we meet in Maryville and rode up to the dragon, we were only gone for a few hours. Any one have any other idea's as to something else we can do?

Posted by: postalUT

Turkey Creek on the 3rd sounds good to me. I'll eat just about anything so whatever restaurant y'all choose is fine for me. Noon's a good time to meet as its about an hour away from TOD which will give us some time for some group shots and a few fun runs.

Posted by: xRellx

I didnt think anything about the dragon.. In that case guys, I will be there, but more than likely on the bike, unless I decide to put a hitch on the car

Posted by: Boomhower

Bike? In Feb?.....O wait, it should be getting back up around 70 by then. Should make for a good ride for ya.

Posted by: 9enisP

Any time is good for me. I'll probably come up there the night before anyway and stay with a friend. We'll probably go out to the bars/clubs the night before if any of you guys wanna join us. I haven't seen the night life there yet, but there's gotta be something around UT.

Posted by: 9enisP

Posted by: Boomhower

Posted by: gt95coupe

Ok so whos going? hows it looking for you greyghost?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

I believe we can make it this time. I don't have any pending issues but you never know around our house.

Posted by: gt95coupe

Hey Danny,

We're down for the off season until the beginning of March. We do get out there occasionally and get a few shots, but no commitments, sorry.

The store/gas station is closed for the off season and renovations as well. They should be open around early March.

Hope you have fun!

Best Regards,
Darryl Cannon

Well that sucks but I guess we can all bring cameras and post them on this site

Posted by: Boomhower

I'm guessing this came from Killyboys?.....That does suck, but like you said, we can grab plenty of pics with our own cameras.

Posted by: gt95coupe

yes it was killboy sorry thought i said that

Posted by: postalUT

You may? Boy 'ems fightin words @ my house.

12 is fine by me, & I think we would e better off eating somewhere on the west side of Knoxville.

Posted by: postalUT

I heard that, Hooters?

Posted by: gt95coupe

Not a Hooters fan. I want to eat where the food is good. Whats the name of the place with the Bull out front I think its in the lovell road area?

I never ate there. I've heard that they are a little more expensive than say applebee's or o'charley's, but it all depends how much everyone is willing to pay. The first time we meet we ate @ PF Changs so I don't really think it will matter.
