Hey guys, we manufacture top quality spark plug covers for the b head. They are machined from a solid piecs of 6061, then powder coated, and then mill engraved with various fonts. I have attached a few examples, they sell for $160.00. They are available in many colors. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks....Ryan

I would like some suggestions as to what we could come up with for the covers as far as words and fonts.

I already asked Geno to lend his magic touch on the font/message part and maybe even work with Ryan to offer the LMS CobraStar logo as part of the package.

So Ideas are welcome.

Guys, I asked Ryan to come over here from ModularFords because I think these look kickass.

He developed these from scratch so go to ModularFords for the whole story.

I think it is great guys are trying to support the aftermarket for our cars.

It would be cool if you and Geno could work out a deal with Geno's logo engraved into them. I'd be interested if that ever came about!

I think he is looking for ideas. I would want some custom ones maybe with the cobrastar emblem in front of SVT Mark VIII and the other side CHARLOTTE(yeah i named her) haha..

Could you do the billet and black or red inlaid letters?
And i would need them for a gen II

Gen II is 97-98 Mark VII's. BTW I love them. Great work and welcome to the forums!

Gen II is the same as Gen I, but the spark plug doesn't have the big cut for the Spark Plug wires. They are COP.

Gen 2 isn't the same, totally different shape. Also, they bolt on in the center with two fasteners as opposed to the 4 outer ones holding the 1st gen one on.

I'd love to get a set of these but can't afford that kind of price right now (I rather do the LSC bumper covers and maybe the Cobra hood first.)
It's great to see some products out for the b-headed engines, they look like real nice pieces

I'd cream my pants for some for the LS....at least once I figure out how to take the stock ones off...but hell I'd get a crimson red with chrome engraving if I got them :-D

Guys,

We can deal with the Gen 1 - Gen 2 issue easy enough.

I'm talking to all parties involved.

Your job is to come up with ideas for what you want said on the plates, colors and maybe something that hasn't been thought of yet. NOS clamp, whatever.

Then we'll see if a group buy can be put together. Spread the love with some of your buds that don't visit over here but might be interested on the other boards.

This item stays here on this forum so your buds will have to come over and respond to this thread and if they aren't registered yet, they know the drill.

In case you missed the major point, these will be CUSTOM made.
You want to put "Icarus can't fly" on it, go right ahead.

Geno is already clued in so no need to bombard him.

The lettering or font is always mill finish aluminum because of the way these are manufactured. They are first machined, then powder coated, and then back to the mill for engraving. I have attached a close up of another product we manufacture just so you guys can see the engraving detail.

As far as the Gen II, it sounds like they are the cop style covers like the 99+ cobras. We do have a design in process, however they are not quite ready for production. Since there are already a few other companies producing these, I want ours to be different. Thanks guys....Ryan

The colored inlays is something that some simple paint could fix once you bought them. You just have to have patience and a fairly steady paint hand.

Some I have seen over the years that stick out:
Developed by NASA (on a very early model Ford Probe)
RICE KILLER on a later model V10 Viper.
I saw 01 cobra with HAHAHAHA... on the covers!
2Fast on one bank and 2Furious on the other hmmm sounds a lot like a movie.
I coulda had a V8 - maybe for some of the V6 LS crowd.... just kidding!

They are not cleared, however we can easily coat them in a high gloss clear if you guys would like.

If I run production on 10 sets with Lincoln related font, do you guys think all 10 would sell? If so I will get the material ordered. I have covers in stock, but they are all in cobra related font. I can run the blanks, and then get requests for color and the fonts to finish up the run. What do you guys think?....Ryan

If you have Gen II covers ill take Black ones with CHARLOTTE on one side and and COBRA POWERED on the other side in the SUPERCHARGED font from the above ^^^^ actually its on page one, since i started a new page

I think I'd be interested in a Black one with Lincoln on both covers with the cobrastar emblem from lincolnmotorsports website. I'd need to know a price after shipping though.

Also, I definitely would want it to be clear coated as well.

It appears you have more interest from the Gen2 crowd (Coil On Plug) 97-98 model years than the Gen 1 93-96 group.

I would concentrate my efforts there imho.

I just removed my cover to take a gander at it. I noticed it has a rubber seal around the outer edge, and also rubber seals for each individual coil on plug. Will this seal able to be removed and installed on your piece?

If not does yours have a rubber seal?

We are getting ready to run a batch of these for the other sites we are vendors on. If I can get the Cobra star artwork we would be happy to run some to stock. I know it's taking a long time, but I have to run a minimum of 12 sets to keep the price reasonable.

-1-off set of the gen 2 COP covers,

-with a color that's close to lamborghini pearl orange, (do they make pearl powdercoats?)

-with about the same amount of machine work as pictured above?

If you can pm me that's best but if not, ok. ..

There are pearls available in powders, we can even get color shifting powders similar to mystic. PM sent on the cost of the covers....Ryan

2 sets ready to engrave to show you guys what the finished product will look like for this site. This will be the only place you can get the unique engraving. After we show a couple sets, we can run as many as you guys need.
I think Geno is working on sending me the artwork so we can get it put into master cam.
