Well, I'm 20 and I've had my Town Car since I was 16. It's a 96' Executive by the way. At first I was in a phase where I wanted to make it into a lowrider. That has now passed. I'm now dreaming of the day my Lincoln will be a 2 ton sedan ripping little Hondas to shreads in the 1/4 at 12 sec. passes (Crazy, I know).

What's entered my mind has been an engine swap, and the Mercury Marauder's DOHC V8 is what I'd love to be working with. I'm here to basically ask "has this been done?" "is it possible?" and is my goal of having a 12 sec. 1/4 mile TC just a fantasy?

Hopefully some ppl can give me some good feedback on this. Thanks in advance.

-Jimmy

If you've got enough money, ANYTHING is possible.

Welcome aboard, dude.

Start with the easy stuff like gears, exhaust, etc. You will be able to smoke most of the rice with minor mods, you can get heavier into it later. Just a thought. Welcome to LVC

Check out crownvic.net. It is going to take a lot for you to get into the 12's, but there are many simple mods you can do to make it faster. I had my '99 Crown Vic at the track today and ran a best of 15.8 with consistent 16.00's (corrected). It has stock 3:55 gears and the only mods I have are a Mercury Marauder MAF/airbox and a chip from SCT.

Welcome, and good luck. There are lots of gearheads here that will gladly help you out. I have a need for speed too, but lack of greenbacks is holding me back...
