Ok anyone who is Paranoid don't watch this! I'd put this in the political Forum but.....

It would cause people to start talking about Peanut Butter again!!!

It's a good view, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Pretty cool. I think the matrix is closer than is commonly thought. A total digitally enhanced existance. , I bought a PDA about 2 weeks ago, and that thing totally changes the way I use the intarweb

Man, they said the same thing about TV fifty years ago...

Posted by: pepperman

It's a scary concept.

It's not scary at all. There are already talks about personalized advertising in stores. You walk past an electronic sign, it knows who you are and shows you products of personal interest. This will happen in our lifetime. No doubt.

Everyone thought I was crazy when I purchased a JVC television 8 years ago with a feature called TV Guide Plus. It's like the guide on dish but it's built into the TV. It also controls your VCR if you want to record something.

At that point I was discussing a TV with network connectivity for remote programming. Do you think that's craze today? Do you think I'm nuts for putting network drops in my kitchen for the stove, frig, and toaster?

That world will be common place in a few years. By 2018 we will think nothing of having a 100MB connection to the Internet in our homes.

Posted by: CaptainZilog

Heh, in Japan, they already have 100mbit connections to their homes. In 2018, there had better be gigabit or 10gigabit fiber access.

Posted by: codewize

Well the 100MB would certainly be fiber. but you understand my point
