Anyone remember these things?

Remember, or still own one??

My dad used to own one when I was a kid. That thing was ugly fo sho, but that thing was UNSTOPPABLE. He drove it up the worst/highest hill here in Pittsburgh with fresh snow on it, and it went up that hill, and back down the other side without so much as a slip. He also went up that hill after several ppl had slid down it making ice patches, and that damn thing STILL went up without so much as a slip or anything.

Oh man, I hate those things and they never seem to die. Up until a few years ago they were everywhere.

I've been looking for one, I wanted to put a 86 El Camino Body on it! Seriously.

23 Years ago those and Subaru's were all you saw on the streets of Portsmouth, NH. Seriously, We were like the ONLY family that had a Thunderbird or a Custom Cruiser up there,(come to think of it we were the only Latino family there also.) A childhood friend of mine's Mother had one and I hated riding in it when she'd pick us up from school. It was sooo noisy for what was then a brand-new car.

I've got to take the dissenting voice and say that I've always kinda liked the way they looked. They're not beautiful like a camaro per se, but they are bulky.

Looks like an escort wagon on stereroids.

The thing was so stout for such a small car that it stands out like a turd in the punch bowl. It may not be fine art, but I like it anyway.
