As a former Mark VII owner, I say I can feel the love. White '88 with grey guts and slider. I started selling them in '84 when they sucked. But when the '88 came out, I knew I had to have one. Now I have 3 MarkVIII's. Should have kept a VII around just to play with the 5.0. Maybe I'll pick one up just to add to the stable.

Hey Lee, exactly how old are you. I'm mid 40's almost. Some of the guys on here are almost old enough to be my son's. How scary is that?

Bryan, aaahh 67. so some of them could be my grandsons! Remember, growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!!....Lee

Posted by: Spidar6996

I am one of those young ones. I just wanted to say I like the Mark VII it is a car that you can do a lot with.

Posted by: 1wykdmk8

I agree with Firebirdboy (Spidar). You can do alot with the VII's.....not as much with the VIII's. I am now looking at getting a VII in the near future....but that is another story all in itself

Bring a few others too. The more people we have the better chance all the questions people have will be answered.

Posted by: TuBBy

Pimpin the VII for sure! Right now, been buried with work and school, still finding time for the ported Twisted Wedges, 1.7 RRs, and Cobra intake!!!!!

Posted by: mark007

can i come in and play with you guys

Posted by: BlackIceLSC

My buddy just found a 1984 Bill Blass edition Mk 7. It is the most obnoxiously cool colored "platinum/gold" looking color. It is filthy, sat for years, and needs some air suspension work(nothing a couple Lincoln nuts cant handle).

We plan on cleaning the car up, fixing the air suspension, and selling it.

Here's a couple pics. Tell me what you mark VII owners think.

Posted by: viiiball

before i bought the VIII i was looking into a VII,esp.after seeing the mafia shootout in MM&FF,my wife had a black LSC 1998 (R.I.P.) and i just wanted to have sumthin to play with, then the VIII came up and i Fell......the rest is history! anyway the VII are still a pretty sexy ride.

I didn't know that the color Champagne was available in 1984. Is it a true Bill Blass with the BB saddle bag seats and logo everywhere?

Posted by: OldSchool1

We've got questions ...
... you've got answers.

Where are you Black?

Posted by: MonsterMark

I sold them new back then. Yes, Bill Blass only in gold.

PLEASED TO MEET YOU MONSTER!, and yes, I did mean to shout.

We, the eccentric old guys society (eogs), need to know
1) How many diesels were made and or sold?
2) How many 1984's were made or sold with the $72.00 vent window option

Posted by: SC_Steve

Ooh man those delorians from the early eighties still look brand new. If his car would have taken off, it would really put the automakers in a bind.

Between me and my dad, we had every VII from 87-91. Until I sold my '90 and bought the '87. So now we have four too. Time to start shopping, OldSchool....

Been there before, it's not fun at all... I had a Buick LeSabre and one of the rubber brake hoses dry rotted and cracked on me. With about six months of driving experience under my belt at the time, it wasn't the best thing that could've happened. It's not fun when the brake pedal hits the floor with no pressure! I had a couple of friends with me and I scared the out of them when I told them I had no brakes at 35+ mph. One of them thought I was kidding until I downshifted and pulled into a vacant lot. I guess i did all right, didn't crash into anything or hurt anybody. -Just my $.02
