Do All LS's have heated Mirrors???

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

So i've had my car for about 2 months now...its an 01 V6. Everything I have read says that they do and they work with the rear defroster.....but they still do not seem to work...dont get warm and the rain water stays on them. Now I have had heated mirrors before owning a couple Maxima's and they work very well...heated quick and got rid of the water. Not a concern now but they will be once the snow comes.

Thanks
Matt

the only options I see are left or right and with or without memory. with a complete vin I can maybe see if yours is heated.

No.

There's a little symbol for heated on the mirrors if they are heated. It's wavy lines in the bottom corner.

Hmmm, that's odd. I have an '01 V8 Sport and it doesn't have the wavy symbols, though I know what you are talking about. Does that mean I don't have heated mirrors even though it's standard for the model?

I don't know. I can say that in response to the original post, they get hot enough to defog the mirrors, but do not get hot enough to dry water off of them. They are activated by the rear defrost switch.

Stick an ice cube on it and see what happens
