2001 Continental Power Windows

Hello and good day to my fellow Conti owners. I have a problem with my driver-passenger side power window - The window don't operate (up & down). What do I need to check to make the window operate? I took it to my local Lincoln dealership here in the DC Metro area and they told me that would have to take off and replace the entire rear passenger door which would cost me $2000.00. Could it be a simple fuse going out or something? All of you's guys help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

If niether switch will operate it, I would guess you might need a new motor. Also if you took the door panel off and tapped on the motor with a hammer it might work for awhile. Maybe if your real lucky the wiring harness fell off the motor. Technical way would be a multi meter hooked to the motor, checking to see if it gets 12volts when the window switch is pulled.

my rear-passenger door window is a bit iffy. It works...sometimes. I have no idea what the problem is, but i don't often use the window so it doesn't bother me.
