engine temp ?

What is an acceptable temperature for the engine to run at after instaling an under drive pulley kit

i wouldnt know about with the diff pulleys but i just installed a digital temp gauge in a 93 mark and at its warmest in traffic it was around 210-220 never any higher than 220

I have a davis chip plugged into my OBDII port and it monitors among other things coolant temp-I have a 180 thermostat and if it is a warm/hot day, it'll go -up to 215, then the fan cuts on and it goes down to 200-with the AC running, it generally runs around 195. On cool days, it ran around 180-I don't think an underdrive pully is gonna change things that much, the ecm determines when the fan runs, and the thermostat is going to allow cooler coolant into the engine at it's opening temp-

But the Underdrive pulley slows down the water pump, since all of our accessories run on the serpentine belt.

The pump running slower does not mean it will result in a hotter engine. In fact if the pump runs too fast, like when WOT, it actually moves too quick to efficiently move coolant. I am sure there is an RPM cut-off point, but dropping a couple hundred RPM should not affect cooling much. The best option is always an electric pump.

When I put UD pullies on my first gen.. Cooling and Charging were unaffected.

Literally ran the same temps {measured with a heat gun at the Xover tube}
