hey guys well i saw this grille on ebay and its a mesh grille i really dont have time to make my own so i wanna just buy one and savetime here is the link but my ? is will this grille fit mycar because i dont have the bottom peice of the upper girlle

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...0502QQtcZphoto

and in the pictures it looks like its required

are you looking for the upper grill or the lower or both. that is just two pieces of wire mesh, the upper piece just goes on your stock grill

Posted by: lacussumok

for both but the one in the picture has the lower rim peice on the upper grille and mine dosent have that part

You can use it regardless but the pic is of a 03+ grille. I would suggest the 03+ grille, the full chrome surround will drastically help the look of that mesh. IMO that mesh looks sloppy and and incomplete unless you have the full chrome surround.

Edit: I forgot, you should also get the 2 piece if you can so you can remove the surround and sandwich it between it and the black cascades or what I would do is just completely discard the cascades all together.

i wouldnt get rid of the black piece all together, because then you can see a bunch of crap around the edges. but i dont think it would look as good with all of the black there as well, maybe leave the edge of the black and cut all of the vertical bars out so that there isnt any thing behind the mesh

Thats why I said to get the second gen grille.

ok well im looking for a 2 peice grille kit thats mesh i dont really have time to make one but i want a nice mean looking one thats good quaility like the one in the picture below but can anyone make one for me?

ill pay what ever is asked as long as the price is reasonable heres the pic

Honestly, I would go out and get a roll of the stuff and make one yourself out of a 2 piece second generation grille. Take the grille apart and cut the mesh to fit the grille where the center piece (cascade) would. Make it the center piece instead of a overlay that way you have a full effect with more of a real presence to it. Buying rolls of the stuff is just as cheap as buying it pre-cut I am sure.

so do i need a 2nd gen grille to make my own mesh or can i use mine?

Posted by: JWerner2

You can use yours but as I said, in my opinion and Im sure you may eventually agree it will look like crap.

This way you can hide the edges of the mesh behind the surround of the grille and it would look clean and factory but you must use the two piece. Ask around in the for sale thread and such to see who has one for dibs.

It will also get rid of the black part and look like it is actually a mesh grille and not just a normal grille with a fake looking overlay.
