Quick question about cabin filter

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Is there a difference between the cabin filters between 00-02 & 03-06? They seem to be separated on alot of sites.

i believe they are indeed different. ask Max--->
he would know for sure. or Ken as well

I just replaced mine last week, and it cost me $14.95 from Autozone and took me about 5 minutes to install. I'm not any kind of a mechanical person, but this is a really easy, no brainer, diy job. Hope this helps. I'm sorry, just reread your post, and my car is a 1999 Continental, so this info may be totally worthless, I don't know. Apologize again.

Can someone take pictures where its located and how to take it out? I'm the biggest n00b when it comes to under the hood work.

Posted by: gcwimmer

Open the hood, remove the push pins in the cowl above the fire wall, remove cowl and it is on the passenger side, replace or blow out filter, replace cowl and push pins. Close hood....Miller Time.

i can't recall off the top of my head but don't the wipers need to go up to remove the cowl?

To remove the pushpins, push down on the center pin until it clicks (less than 1/4"), then pull up on the outer ring of the pin. While you have the pin out, push the center pin up two clicks (so it stands proud of the outer ring), and you're ready to reinstall it by dropping the pin in place and pushing the center pin until it's level with the outer ring.

There's nothing to it.
