Ford Datastream

Ok, here's the deal...If anyone knows the delimiters for the scp datastream, can you share them. I can get converted from a normal serial port to scp (ie using a serial port to connect to the obd2 port and communicate with the ECM). I am looking for basically how to send the message center a command that is something like "Hey message center, display the following characters (insert message here)" I know it can be done (cell phone option) but don't know the right commands. Thanks for any help

Unfortunately the Ford communication protocol is proprietary to Ford. As far as I know no one has cracked the code. I used to recall the name of the protocol.

Regardless, I would think the message center has all the display messages in storage and when a signal is sent its just a basic short code which is then reads to switch on a message.

I read that one....didn't tell me much. I am more interested in the cell phone option display and what the factory cell phone display is on the message center. I don't know if it's able to relay call id info or just call duration. Gonna have to dive deeper into the subject

But your not going to use the actual factory cell, right?

So why/what are you trying to do?

Basically I am wanting to intergrate a bluetooth handsfree display into the m/c. I think I am going to have to get my hands on a m/c and look at the chipset first.
