Rear View Mirror help V2

Lol about the V2, i made one of these before buying the mirror .

Ok guys, So i found a mirror on ebay for 20 bucks from LKQ Online. Got the mirror today after 7 days of ordering it But w/e about that,

I look at the mirror looks to be in perfect condition. I called Ford before buying the mirror i asked if an 03 which was advertised, would fit a 2000 LS without a problem, the guy goes yes it should fit without a problem. I took the mirror and put it under the one right now the back piece that sticks to the windshield looks bigger than current. Pictures below, question is, is it going to fit? And its wired quite differently ( the one i have now .. )

My New Mirror

Why did I get a new mirror? because my old one for some reason was leaking black liquid.

TIA

i could've swore some members said it would fit but the compass and autodim wouldn't work

Here's the wiring for the 03+ mirror, from left to right:
pins 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

1- 12v run/acc
2- ground
3- reverse signal (from REM), tells mirror to undim when reversing
4- + signal to driver's side mirror
5- - signal to driver's side mirror
6- unused
7- unused

You can probably get away with just connecting pins 1 and 2 and you would get the compass and autodimming (maybe?). Good luck!

i dont have the compass, its a 3 pin mirror, thats what it was advertised, but i see a 5 pin ..

oh, then just randomly plug things in i guess

OK, the plug on the wiring harness has 7 female pins. That's why #6 and 7 are unused, because there are only 5 pins on the mirror. So the left two are probably still power and ground.
