Price of Mark VIII

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Unfortunately, my 96 Mark VIII was crashed over the weekend so I'm in the market in buying a new one... I found this used car dealer who has 2 - 98 Mark VIII & 1 - 97 Mark VIII.... I like the one with 35000 miles but I think the price is a little high.... What do you think...

35k miles is pretty dang low. I think the prices are "fair" but I dont know your market. Did you try KBB.com to compare?

yeah the milage is low but 9995.00 is pretty steep unless they do some kind of warrenty? in my opinion

Posted by: Tiltedhalo

Wow that is very steep IMO. I picked up my 97 Black on Black LSC with 97K in pretty much perfect condition except for some clear coat peal for $2500. If your willing to make a trip check Fl, they seem to go cheap.

the silver one is a little high but it is the best one they have and you can alwas talk them down the price listed is not the price they will take

In my opinion all three are high.

The 97 should be somewhere around $4000 to $5000

The other two between $5000 and $7000

And I'd shoot for the lower end in all three. The low miles means nothing to me. How the car runs and the condition of the car, because a good running 4.6 Mark VIII will run you many 100,000s of miles. Trust me... I haven't bought a Mark VIII with less than 100,000 miles on it and all of mine run fantastic.

I'd offer 7k-7.5k for the 98 with 35k miles and I'd ask them to put the Octastars on it from the other 98.

hope nobody got hurt! how much is the insurance company offering you for the 96?

Posted by: Jafeb

Thank God no one got hurt.... As for the insurance I'm waiting for them to call me...
