SCP big brake kit Qs

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I looking to buy my big brake kits from scp and was wondering if anybody has used them befor and what theythouht about them, yes I know that the cobra brakes are cheaper to do but I really like how they have all the parts laid out. And I wont need to have the rotors redrilled, so if you have or have used them befor let me know. Thanks for the help.

You can get many kits already done other then these. WAY cheaper too.

+2 I was on there last night and saw a kit for like 3,500! I'm almost positive you can do something for a lot cheaper than that

The $3500 kit is a 6-piston two-piece rotor setup. You could put together a kit for less as the others mentioned, but you'd need to shop around a lil...

Yes... we all know it can be done cheaper by buying the parts by themselves, and so forth. And yes, another half dozen people will jump in saying so. Scorpio, I understand your attraction towards having it all in one bolt in package, makes life easier that way. Now, to answer your question: I have the dual piston calipers up front and the Cobra rotors in the rear. Love both mods. The dual piston calipers is a direct bolt-in, super easy install. The pedal is slightly mushier afterwards, but it is not noticeable unless you're looking for it/expecting it, as I was. Not to mention I need to replace my lines.
The rear... yeah. I had to modify my ebrake cables to get everything to bolt up, as they did not clear the stud on the relocation bracket. Then, after that, I had to tie back the brake lines against the sway bar to keep them from rubbing against the insides of the rims. Great upgrade as well, just know what you'll be getting into.

Sorry, I was trying to point out why it was priced so high, in case The Rev didn't know as there are a bunch of calipers that will work on our cars, from single piston to six I've seen so far... Two piece rotors are two times the price as well

I was'nt planning that much on brakes but thanks for the 411 guys, I was just looking to spend $300 to $800 on the front. The rear kit looks reasonable so I will more than likely go with that one for the rear, but for the front it looks like I have more research to do.

No worries mate, in all honesty I wish I had known myself how to piece together one of those kits when I had bought it. Now I do, and hindsight is always 20/20.
