I want to know your guys' opinions. A 2003 CTS 5-stick 220 hp vs a 2004 CTS 5-auto 255 hp. Judging from epinions.com, 2004 seems more luxurious and quiet and the 03 feels more sporty and sounds better. Its just that everyone complains about the 03 having a "lame duck" engine. Oh well, whats half a second? I mean every ciggarrette you smoke is like 7 minutes less to your life or whatever.

basically the same car
03 has some advantages like its the last year you can read diagnostics through the car without a reader
downfault is the 3.2 which has timing belts which make sure you change
04 has timing chains and is slightly more reliable plus its been hacked for performance improvements

the 3.2 was also used in the 2004 base model CTS, which people seem to forget. so it was used two years... 2003-2004

i had a 2003 with the 3.2L engine before i totaled it. it was a GREAT car and i loved it. now i have 2005 2.8L that i love equally as much. see i have 22's so i don't need the power of a 3.6L because i don't ever go above 70 mph...

either the 2003 or the 2004 is a great car and you won't go wrong with either.

my advice is go look at them and if you find some you like i would base the decision on which car is in the best condition and which one you are getting a better deal on. because both are good cars...
