Blue leather interior rare?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: ruswin

I have looked at a lot of Marks, and only found one other example with the blue leather interior like I have on the Pearl 94 I just bought. I have to admit it is not my first choice when it comes to interior colors, but I am just curious what percentage of Marks were made with the blue leather interior? Anyone? Finding replacement interior parts will likely be really hard!!!

Not rare, just ugly!

There are two blue Mark VIII interiors.

I have a '93 with Aquamarine interior.

There is a '94 option with a darker Portofino Blue interior.

LOL. Well, i kinda agree - you get used to it though.

Mine is same color combo as Driller's (Nordic blue / Aquamarine)

Ford nut's is the same combo too, i believe.

jamie97lsc used to have one the same.

There is a white one in the for sale section that looks to have aqua interior too:

I see 'em pop up on Ebay occasionally, but i have yet to see another in person.

I think the blue is a refreshing change from the earth tone colors like black, gray, tan, etc...

I was looking at Caddies too. I wanted a 97 or so Brougham edition Deville? Well the big ass one with four doors. It was a toss up between that and the Mark VIII. I have plenty of Marks before and was driving a Mark V at the time. Glad I went with a Mark VIII!!!!

Ideally, i was after a 96 Fleet Wood with the LT1, but couldnt find a good one for under 6K. Looked at a couple of Sevilles and a Deville but all were over 2K with head gasket troubles!

Prior to buying the Mark, i had only seen a pic of one in a car book - was deceptive as it was shown next to a pic of a Ford Probe... So i thought they were a similar size! Lolol. Bought it, tried to park in a compact space... no dice!

I would have loved to find a black on black but finding ANY mark up here in the land o rust is luck.

Thanks But you have to find one with the moon roof...I couldnt live with out it. They are thick as flys were you are

I dunno ford nut... all my previous cars had sun (moon?) roofs, but i never used them! One less thing to break or leak!

Great responses. I always preferred a light gray interior like I had on my 93 T-bird SC. The blue is not horrible, my oldest son loves the color. I guess it is all about personal preference. I bought my 94 which is Pearl / Blue because the price and mileage was right. $1900 with 58,000 miles on it, needed some trans work and to repair the window gears. Trans parts will be in this week, then a quick AC charge and yahoo... it will be ready to roll.

I've got the Dark Portofino Blue in the 94 currently...........................
