pektel, fbird18, and jk52781 MN Meet (Pics)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: jk52781

Today pektel (Pete), fbird18 (Nic), and myself jk52781 (John) got together for a LS meet. There are not too many of us up in the Minnesota area but we had a beautiful warm day for a meet. I really enjoyed seeing other modified LSs in person because each one had its own unique look. Here are attached pictures and they look pretty sharp. Nice job Pete and Nic your cars look great and thanks again for coming out. If you have any other pictures or videos to share please do so.

Sweet!! The Cars are Bright as Hell!! nice detail wash you gave them!

Posted by: 02V8Sport

Nice pics guys!!

Very nice, the Swan Lake of LS meets.

Posted by: jk52781

Here are some videos from today's meet. Hey Nic, if you have some good ones let me know.

Here are a few more pictures. I like this shot with pektel next to me. We both have the Ivory but with different exhaust set ups. By the way Pete your Magnaflows sound great.

The second and third picture were taken when fbird18 and myself met up awhile back. One of my favorite pictures with the sun setting in the background. And I am glad I do not have the vertical Trenz grill anymore. I really like my new LSE grill, thanks for pointing me in the right direction Nic. I would say those wheels that camthman sold you look pretty darn good!

Nic you should put that one of you doing donuts in the parking lot up.

Very nice lookin cars. All of them. I love the blue one.

Posted by: NateRW21

Those are some sharp cars!!! I like the twin tip exhaust; looks very nice!

Posted by: Silver_LS

bah! Wish I had found this site before I moved back to Texas. Hopefully I get a chance to go to meet somewhere in TX next year. I miss MN already, just not the winter. Great looking LS's btw. I want to see the burnout video

Posted by: pektel

That was fun to see other LS's with some different mods. It was nice to put a face to the name, too. Although I got sunburned pretty nicely while standing in that parking lot.

Posted by: pektel

And here's my 3 best pics. I forgot my memory card back at home, so I only had the built in memory to work with. Only got about 10 pictures. Anyways, here goes:

jk52781, are those windshield "squirters" on your hood?

Yes they are windshield squirters. The other two have them also on the hood. I thought every LS had them.

Posted by: MonsterMark

I'm impressed with the pics. Nice job. Cars look great!

Posted by: LEOV5

Loos like the next top model show for LS's. Very nice cars and good pics.

I have an '03 LS V8 Sport and mine are mounted in the cowl?

Posted by: fbird18

That was fun guys. John and Pete, thanks for coming out. Both of your cars are very nice! Especially that blue one . It'd be nice to get some more guys next time (hint hint, other LS' in the metro area, I know you are out there!). Well you guys covered most of the pictures, but here are a couple I liked. Also one more pic of mine and John's wheels from the first meet. Thanks for the nice comments guys! Also, here a few videos. The doughnuts are lame, but I didn't want to ruin my shiney wheels on the crappy pavement. The last video is the same as the second, but that one has a killer soundtrack in the background, and a crotch shot! Happy viewing

Yeah, the first gen '00-'02 had them on the hood. The second gen '03-'06 were moved off the hood to the cowl.

Cars look sweet as does the scenery in Minnesota!

Posted by: rickztahone

hey pete, your lower painted bars looks really good.

I agree. After seeing it in person, I think that is a very good idea for anyone with a lighter color car, and mclaren grille. Looked good Pete! Thanks for driving all that way down there.

Those look nice!!!!

Seeing it in person really looked sharp and the contrast of the Ivory and the black work well together.

Thanks Pete and Nic for sharing your pictures and videos. Nic, do you have anything of pektel on video? When I get home from work I am going to check because I thought we had his ride and Magnaflows on video.

Pete can you send me the link to that thread about the wheels you want to buy?

Posted by: pektel

Thanks guys. I'm very happy with the way the lower grille turned out. I cant' really get the lower mclaren grille to sit properly, so I may just drop that project all together.

sent you a pm john about the wheels, but for anyone else who's interested, here's the link:

Just waiting for some extra $$ before I pick them up. Haven't quite decided yet on finish, but I'm leaning towards the hyper silver w/polished lip in 18".

Posted by: PatrickSimmons

Very nice LS' guys. Good work!

Posted by: Silver_LS

I like the lower grille too, looks great with the grille. I did the same, just don't have the mclaren yet. again awsome pics.

Posted by: NHLSV8

wow... got some great pics there! I'll have to keep you guys in mind when I head to the midwest to see my buddy in Brainard and Chicago

Posted by: pektel

Are you coming to BIR?

Posted by: NHLSV8

very possibly.... My buddy lives in brainard and wants me to put the LS against his 67 fastback..... he doesnt speak well of the track so I need to make sure I'm good to go before I let loose on it. I know NED preps the track well for test and tune sessions. Im pretty sure after I install my locker, I'll be ok traction wise, but tires and wheels will be in use for that meeting anyway.

Posted by: NHLSV8

while I'm out there.... I want to get together with ILLS and 02ls........ as well so there is much planning to happen

Posted by: pektel

You should let me know when you are going to the track (BIR), if you decide to go. It's probably only an hour from my house, and I'd love to see a performance modded LS.

Posted by: NHLSV8

well, shes running on 100 shot wet right now, but by the time I get out there, she will more modded. I will definately have my "sexy" wheels too, just not at the track

Posted by: pektel

Sweet. IIRC, you had a "stealth" Nitrous setup. I'm interested because after I get an Xcal, I'd like to run a small shot of nitrous, but want it to be as hidden as possible.

Posted by: jk52781

NHLSV8 I hope you do come over to the area and get a chance to meet you and see your car. I will for sure be up also for having another meet with more LSs from LVC.

Posted by: NHLSV8

between you and a pektel, me and 02ls......... we can almost get a chess board set up! LOL It is almost a definate that I'll be out there this summer
