Wiring Harness Questions

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: babbster

I know this has been beaten to death, but I have struggled to find any answers searching old threads;

Is it possible to keep stock rear deck subs functional? If so how?

I have the Metra wiring harness for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda

All wires have matched up fine except for several left overs. Left-overs from my new unit's harness include: Brake Wire, CCD off, Amplifier Power Control, Auto Antenna

Three wires left over from Metra wiring harness inlcude Amp Turn-On (black/white) also titled Amp Ground? (black/white), Dimmer(orange/white), and Illumination (orange)

My Unit is a XO Vision XOD1735NT, Double Din, DVD, touchscreen, ect. No Nav.

Hook them up to a slightly more powerful after market amp, and use the subwoofer preamp output on the HU.

Had the whole unit wired up and working, took the harness out and now no power. Any ideas or suggestions why my power is gone? Thanks

either a fuse has blown or a pin in the harness might have come out when you pluged it back in

yep. just a blown fuse. feel like an idiot for not realizing that sooner.
