Sticky A/C Fan button hard to operate! HELP!

Hey!

I am ashamed to admit, but I've had some Red Bull spill in my 00 LS a few days ago (damn cup holders! either too big or too small!). I managed to wipe it from around the tranny knob, around the ashtray, etc. but some of it ended up on the buttons. I quickly wiped it off, but seems like some of it got behind the A/C fan control button and it became very hard to press. Once you get it to increase the fan speed it just keeps on going to the max - same in the opposite direction.

My questions is: How would you go about taking that button off without damaging anything in the process? You think I could maybe pour some cleaning alcohol right behind it and wait for it to dry or actually disassemble the whole thing just to clean it?

Thanks for help!!!
