New paint (thanks to the old lady in the truck)

Well, I was planning on new paint, and some old lady in a truck helped me make the decision.

While setting at red light this week, an s-10 slammed into me from behind (there is no way to type that and not feel weird). Her S-10 was waisted, but really only dammaged the bumpercover and rear deck lid on my car. I honestly think the deck lid could be saved. Thank God it never got in to the light bar... allthough, if I can get a new one out of it, it would be great.

No one was hurt other than the fact that I am a bit sore.

Her insurance offered to send me to their body shop of choice, but I declined and asked for an adjuster to pay me a visit. They use indipendent adjusters, so I feel a bit better. Good friend (customer of mine) is going to do the repairs and some extra work at the same time.

Adjuster is comming next week. Car really does'nt look that bad, but I hate to drive it looking like it does. I'm guessing between 2K and 3K in damage. Maybe less.

Flooding is starting to get bad. In 93 when Quincy was flooded bad, the Mississippi was at 26 feet. They called that the flood of the century. This flood has the potential to go over 28 feet. Crazy. We live on the bluff as does 95% of the city, but there are several manufacturers that are going to get hit if it comes up that high. Lots of sandbagging going on.
