Need information about difference of LSC and non LSC Mark 8

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just bought a 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. It doesn't have any LSC badges on it but I opened up the owners manual and it has the original Warranty Authorization Card and it says that its an LSC. So I double checked it and the VIN matches that on the card. So I'm just trying to figure out the difference's between a non LSC and a LSC. And if at all possible where the LSC badges are on the car so I can badge my baby up properly

Boldy-colored side mouldings, true dual exhaust and perforated seats are a few of them.

The "LSC" badge goes on the right side of the trunk lid.

What are the differences between an LSC model and a Base model?

The LSC edition had perforated leather seats, true dual exhaust, slightly lower gearing, badging, and on the 95-96 models, included the HID upgrade. Some chrome trim was also painted body color on the 2nd Gen cars, such as the grille. Suspension tuning (anti-roll bars, and possibly shock valving) was firmer on the LSC models as well. The LSC models were rated by Ford at 290 HP versus 280 HP for the base model, and have a 3.27 vs. 3.07 rear end gear. The speed limiting function of the powertrain module kicks in at what many people think is 124 mph, versus 130 mph on the Base model. This is probably due to a function to keep the driveshaft below a certain rotational speed.

ALL 1993-1996 models included documentation calling the car an "LSC." No one is sure why, it leads to a lot of confusion.

ugh.....well by the sounds of it then I don't have a LSC. I don't have HID's *even though I really wanted them* and I still have chrome trim thats not painted and my grille isn't painted. Oh well, I would like to wonder why Ford called them all LSC's though. That sounds stupid

You don't need HIDs for it to be an LSC - mine doesn't have them. The body-colored side mouding is a quick way to tell, for sure.

*runs outside to check side molding* runs back in and is sad. It has a chrome strip on the side oh well its only 10 hp. Once I get the exhaust put on then there's my 10 hp

nothing worth much, i personally dont like the lsc, because what it offers you in the form of styling and preformance is not worth it concidering that it is more $ on insurance.
