will the underdrive pullies for the cobra (96-00) fit the lincoln mark viii (98)

Posted by: MarkVIII93

Try sticking with 96-98. Im pretty sure that is what they're listed as on most sites. Any pullies that work on 96-98 cobras WILL work on our cars. I have a march crank underdrive on mine. Waterpumps are the same and so are alternators. That's the extent of any street application underdrive set sold for cobras. So you should be good.

Just do the crank pulley/balancer from ASP.

what about the thing infront of the crank pully, or can i slide the pully off without removing it.

i think its bolted to the timing cover. just unbolt it....and move it to the side... simple as pie

mmmmmmmmm pieee

For the crank you may also need a longer bolt to pull it into the crank because when I did mine the stock bolt was too short so I pulled it in with the long one and re-installed the stock one. Make sure you get a bolt with the exact threads. Big washer on the long bolt too if necessary.

"as for just move it to the side" uh, no thats the fresh air injection system (pumps fresh air into the cats upon startup) it has metal tubes bolted to it and prob rusted solid! get yourself a can of PB blaster and soak that thing a few times a day for a few days, and it might come apart. good luck

will the pump thing be in the way after installation of the crank pulley
