electrical problem with the mark..

here's the problem.. every once in a while when i start her up my left turn signal light will come on in the dash & when it does.. all the lights on the left side of the car get dim, my horn doesn't work, my windshield wipers go extremely slow and when i stop the car it starts bogging down & dies, if it doesn't die it bogs real bad when i continue driving. oh & the thick group of wires in the bumper on the drivers side.. if i tug on it a couple times the problem goes away, its driving me crazy also my keypad & unlock on the drivers side do not work at all... the lock button works fine & the passenger side locks & unlocks both doors fine.. anyone have any suggestions for either set of problems???

I would start by looking at that harness. You might have an intermittent short that goes away when you tug on the harness, or you might have a bad ground or something. As for the lock, that may or may not be related. Start by following that harness and finding the problem with the lights.

Did this car have a side impact accident?

if it is dying the car, your alternator is working its butt off. so i would start with finding what is drawing all that power.. You probably are Frying your alternator so it wont last long unless its new.. Just a precaution. Your parastitic draw is too great. Something is shorting itself out..

no, just a front.. two deer, took out the light farthest on the driver's side and broke the mounts for the driver side headlights

There is your starting point, either take it back to where the work was done or do it yourself.

i think i may have found the problem... one of the rubber grommets in the floor wasn't completely sealed allowing water in.. which corroded a few wires under the carpet, i fixed those & that solved a few problems with my locks, keypad & courtesy lights & hopefully the headlights, thanks for the help
