I left LS parked for 2 days so I could ride the motorcycle but when I got in it this evening I noticed that my rearview mirror has some weird fog/film on it. It won't rub off either. Today was only 83 degrees and yesterday was 80. I've left the car with the windows up in far hotter weather. Any thoughts on what the heck just happened? I'm lost on this one.

i'm pretty sure your auto dimmer (i think it's called) in your rear view went out. the only way to fix it is to buy a new one. there are plenty on ebay tho, and for cheap too

Now that you mention it I can see where it is perfectly clear on the botton left and right corners of the mirror. The flim issue is primarily located through the center portion of the mirror. Any reason why it went out with no power running to it? It wasn't like that when I parked the car Saturday evening(daylight).

j/k, mine went out on my recently sold TL for no apparent reason either. I had to buy a new one and I found mine on Craigslist for a good price. Shop around, you can find a deal.

i have no idea why it would just go out if it wasn't even on but then again the LS tends to just give out on you whenever she feels like it, lol. i need to buy a new one as well due to the fact that the green digits on my compass flickers and sometimes doesn't even come on at all. i wish this thing ran on batteries, then i'd just be able to replace that, lol. i've seen some as low as 20 bucks
