A day in the shop.... My LS under repair...

Well after a round of issues I took my LS to the dealer for some love..

First: That dang "Check Charging system" coded out Alternator.. No surprises there.Nope
.
Second: Blowin hot air one side cold the other... That gate value thingy...

Third: standard shifter is messed up.. D4 switch is out..
So I am like I will do that one..

Going to put an SST in her.. Guess what happened.. You will not believe it..
I have been looking for one of these shifters.. Today I need one and today THERE WAS one on ebay.. It is now in route to my house...

How about them apples rights there???
Well I guess it is time to order what I need to re-flash the proms...

and yes, I wrench my own ride...

I will be putting in the SST shifter... I will download and flash my proms myself and if I can find the tweak values for the shifts I will find a away to punch those in...

Come the next long weekend my BF and I are putting on Eibachs and the OEM Sports Shocks and Sway bars..
I am already on Mich 245/50 17 Ultra AS Pilots.

I am a dual degreed engineer and I have every intention of reverse engineering that bad standard shifter.. Ford says it is just a micro switching board.. Easy stuff...
May be making my own custom dual standard/SST on the fly shifter.... If possible...

I have no doubts my driving habits broke that switch in the shifter... I drive rather aggressive, SCCA race fan and have plans to put this car on Road Atlanta during PDX one race weekend..

Just as soon as those lame brakes get upgraded...

it was like $45 and $15 shipping I'm moving into a new place this week so i would had the money but sure enough i check "My Ebay" and "This Item has Ended with Buy It Now" yes. i was sneaky and greedy. I've known about that shifter for quite some time and told no one!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! goes to shwo you... that kind of sneakiness is never rewarded.

You should be all set then, I only have 1 degree and I repaired my microswitch just fine.

i took mine apart using a razorblade to open the clips. the pieces inside just get stuck and need to be set back in the proper location. cost= nothing.
+1 on lame brakes. i dont plan to race, but hopefully before winter, i can get my brakes good enough to do the BMW high performance driving classes with my boss.
