Got My New Headlights

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Iwantmymarkback

Just got my new headlights from U.S. Seller on eBay, and Just curious, as if anyone has installed these. I remember reading a while back someone who raved about how good they were. Anything I should know before installing? Looks pretty simple, and I have a fair amount of technological know-how, I am building a 1949 Ford on my own, and I'm only 19. Any advice?

Did you get the housing or just bulbs/ballasts?

what is the seller ebay ID

Pretty much plug & play. If for some reason they don't light up or flicker then you may need to ground the ballast. Also make certain that the polarity is correct, they are very easy to plug in backwards.

See (93blueonblue's) tech write up. it will help you out for sure.

I did a search for 93blueonblue's tech write up, and couldn't find it, can you link me there?

Keep in mind the ones on eBay are for Gen I. If you are putting these in a Gen II they will not fit unless you have the new Halogen housings from Ford.

If it's for a car that came with HIDs it doesn't matter if it's a Gen1 or Gen2 but yeah if they are for a Gen1 with halogens then they will not fit a Gen2.
