2 weeks ago replaced my waterpump. Last night I noticed a lil puddle under the car looked at it today. Waterpump is leaking.

Oh man that SUX. I just did my Wife's 00 Stang- hell of time getting the tube out. The new pump had a bad bearing-I was sooooo pi$$ed off. The dealer gave me a hard time about wanted a replacement. Good thing I kept the original and had not turned in for the core. No more re-mans - only new for me.

At least it is one of the easiest things to replace, so count your blessings.

you got that right. heh heh almost as easy as the idler pulley and the water pump is fairly cheap too

Well checked it this AM and no leaks. I cleaned the marks off the timing case and no new signs of a leak, no drips.

Mark VIII is a money pit. Within six months less than 2000 miles of driving I've replaced: front struts, headlights, front pads (new pads from previous owner were making strange scraping sound), alternator, tires. Chrome on rims is peeling off on a couple, there is a strange squeak in the body on the passenger side which I've spent hours trying to find to no avail. The oil pan leaks like a sieve. The car sits most of the time because I don't want to go bankrupt driving the thing. BUT!!! When I get that need for speed and 6-7000rpm screaming V8 my Mark wails like an Indy car and makes it all worth while. No plans to sell mine.

I dunno I really have been debating on selling the car. but I know I will miss it too much
