Differential rebuild Kits

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 94m5

Hey guys,

The 94's Differential has WAY too much backlash (prolly caused by too many high RPM clutch drops), and needs to be rebuilt.

I have a set of 4.10s and a new trac-Lok already aquired, but want to know where all of you went to get your rebuild kit. I have found a few sets for standard 8.8's but nothing for IRS.

I'm assuming I can use one of those, but will need to buy the output shaft seals, and bearings.

Opinons?

Thanks guys.

Yes, I would like to get that ASAP.

also, PM me your paypal account so I can get you some clams for those wires, and let me know what shipping will be on the punkin'

Contact Max. He know wht is need and will give you a good price. I'm pretty sure the install kit is the same and a solid axle car and you just need bearings and seals for the axles which aren't to expensive.

wel you better tell JD to knock it off, cuz i know you wouldnt do this

I used the regular rebuild kit and bought bearings and seals for the half shafts. I rebuilt the differential w/4.10s last to go in the '96 and added a clutch ring restacking the clutch pack for better results. I also used an F150 S-spring. You should be able to search TCCoA for details on this mod. You measure and reuse 1 of the old clutch rings to keep from having to buy 2 kits.

I used the regular FRPP kit as well (M-4210-B with pinion gear and carrier bearings, M-4210-A without,) and the M-4413-A for the IRS axle bearings and seals.
The last kit I mentioned is far cheaper than buying the IRS seals and bearings seperately...

Allright, Thanks guys.

More opinions welcome tho.

the M-4210-B is $81.60 LVC and the M-4413-A is 19.20 LVC plus shipping...all in stock. That would be all the brgs and seals for the IRS

Hey Max I have heard the new trac loks come with side gears compatable with the IRS. Do you know anything about this? I'm debating waiting to find a IRS traclok to make it easier if I need to get into the rear again and am hoping I don't have to bother with that if Ford updated the new one.

The M-4204-F288 is for live or IRS for the past 4 years or so. List $215.00 and LVC is 192.00
