oil weight questions...

ok so its time for another oil change on my baby.I just wanted some suggestions on oil weight for her.Shes a 96 LSC with 130,000 miles on her...Thanks

You can use either 5w-20 or 5w-30. With that many miles I think I would stick with the 5w-30.

I run 5w30 synthetic in my car. I purchased it in March 07 with 135k on it and it now has 149k.

i guess im the odd ball (im used to it) i use motorcraft 5w20, and i started using it last summer around 145k, now im at 152k with no probs and still running the 20

Go with the 5w 20, I put it in my Vic and ahve noticed around 1 mpg better in all types of driving.

May also help the guys with the noisey (ticking) lifters.

I would say that moisy lifters would be worsened by thinner oil, but it is a possibility.

I'm using the motorcraft 5w20 as well. 122,000 miles & runs great!

yea i have the noisy lifter problem that is so common on these cars.Im thinking of installing some sort of pre-lube system..Anyone here have any suggsestions on a type or brand to purchase?
