i have a tap i think its a lifter or rocker how much would it cost to fix any ideas?? if i bring to shop just wondering 93 lincoln mark 8

Does it sound like the noise in the video in the below post???? Is the noise coming from center rear intake/passenger valve cover area??? If so appears alot of people have had this noise. I have the same noise and can't offer any solutions at this time.

Sounds like a noisey lifter - pretty common.

Sal, Johnboy and myself beat this 'ticking' issue to death on another Lincoln website. (do an online search)

No real solution, other than replacement parts. It has been suggested that use of a good quality, slightly thinner oil may help and possibly use of that Auto RX engine cleaner.
