i think that it would be a nice upgrade, the DEI amps are good quality and since its a class D mono amp it will be a lot more efficient and have a little more power so it should sound nice. also, with it being a 1 ohm stable amp, you could add a second DVC sub at any time

You will notice a difference, you may also want to consider a new enclosure, prefab boxes are usually not the best quality.
