Has anyone with a TC replaced their MAF with the 80mm one? Any improvements? I took the horn out of the airbox and added a K&N filter. Decent improvement but is there anything else that needs to be done in that area?

A better idea would be to use a complete Mercury Marauder airbox w/ 80mm MAF. The 80 MM MAF uses a different flange than your stock 70mm and won't bolt to stock box w/o modification - plus even with it you are still stuck with the stock airbox. The Marauder assembly can flow more air, and the MM 80mm MAF is a better choice for panthers than other 80mm units with better resolution at low airflows.

A computer reflash will be required.

Hi I'm new here & was wondering what the "horn" is you are referring to that you took out of the airbox? When you remove it what does it do?

Less restricted air flow and more air flow with the K&N.

ok is this "horn" easy to remove & what does it look like? I already have a K&N, but wasn't aware of this "horn" thing.

Thanks for the help.

The horn is on the bottom of the airbox
