1997 lincoln conti coolant flushing

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I recently flushed out my system and replaced it with g-05 and diesel water wetter and distilled water. However after draining and then refilling the system with distilled and cleaner then later just distilled. I kept getting air trapped in the system every time, which eventually came out. My question what is it about the conti that causes this. I have flushed cars which only fill through the resevoir and never encountered this. I didn't fill through the hose but did put several gallons through the resevoir which sucked into the radiator. But it did it everytime, the temp gauge would sit at normal then rapidly raise up. It would then girgle loudly then begin to cool if drivin up and down a small hill. I tried just idling or going down and level driving but it would never circulate the coolant.
